For grounded living
I’m Shannon Mary. NeuroEmotional Coach and Brand Strategist for the ones who are here to make an impact.
Every messed-up thing happening in the world right now traces back to one root cause: humans leading from a survival brain state.
Things born from Survival Brain:
- War. Revenge. Greed.
- Manipulation. Narcissism.
- Control. Defensiveness. Blame.
- Overthinking. Perfectionism.
- People-pleasing. Over-giving.
- Passive aggression. Resentment.
- Emotional withdrawal. Burnout.
All of these are expressions of the survival brain’s strategy – the body’s primal attempt to stay safe when it feels under threat.
When the leaders of the world operate from this state, the ripple effect is global.
Their followers are left with only four options:
fight, flight, freeze, or appease.
This collective survival response has thrown the frequency of our planet into chaos – unregulated nervous systems constantly activating other unregulated nervous systems. It’s a feedback loop of fear, reactivity, and disconnection – with no logical way forward.
But here’s the hope: we can change this.
It starts with self-awareness – learning how to recognise and elevate our own brain states back into Executive Brain, one human at a time.
From that place, we begin to co-regulate, to model emotional steadiness for our children, and to make decisions that come from clarity instead of chaos.
The ripple effect is profound.
When even a few more people shift into Executive Brain, they gain access to confidence, clarity, empathy, logic, creativity, compassion – and the courage to stand for something again.
And when people stand for something, they start creating change.
If you resonate with any of the below, this work will change your life:
- You sometimes (or often) feel like a failure.
- You just wish you had enough money to finally relax.
- You wish your partner would just be the person you need them to be.
- You’re tired of feeling like you’re parenting your parents.
- You love your kids, but if they’d just listen, maybe you wouldn’t be so stressed.
- You hold it all together on the outside, but inside you’re running on fumes.
- You crave more peace, purpose, and connection – but you’re not sure how to slow down long enough to find it.
- You keep telling yourself you should be grateful, yet something still feels off.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone.
You don’t have to feel these things all the time for them to matter.
Once you understand how brain states work, you’ll see that thoughts like these make perfect sense.
They don’t mean you’re broken – they mean you’re human.
The truth is:
Our generation is one of the first to truly understand what trauma is.
Yes, maybe the pendulum has swung a little too far – but that’s how healing begins.
The good news? Even if you haven’t always shown up as your best self, there’s never been a better time to own it.
There are countless kind, emotionally intelligent humans ready to help you heal – if you’re just brave enough to ask.
Whether you’re still finding your way or already walking the path, if you don’t understand how your brain states work, you’re operating with a disadvantage.
